Spindrift – Andy Eccleston / Ron Wright
Spindrift is the 3rd collaboration with lens based artist andy Eccleston as part of uk mini tour under the name of Hylo. Spindrift is a boroscopic journey through brass and woodwind instruments. Originally created as 15 large scale photographs with a 15.8 surround sound component. Later developed as slideshow of 110 images shown on window of Opera North gallery, New Brigate Leeds. Resonators were used on window so that the sound is resonated through the glass. Last performed live in Amsterdam as a surround sound event alongside a performance by Chris Watson at Lloyd hotel in Amsterdam.
The Breach - Neil Webb / Ron Wright
The Breach is a collaboration with fellow sound artist Neil Webb. There are 4 sections of this av project. Sound and still and moving images were gathered by both of us. Premiered at consortium gallery Amsterdam in Dec 08
Requiem – Andy Eccleston / Ron Wright
Requiem is the first collaboration with Andy Eccleston and features a French horn being dissolved in Nitric Acid. It was part of the “Tone “commission theme of “requiem” and in celebration by The Culture Co., Opera North and Impressions gallery. This piece which was the centrepiece of The Sightsonic festival ’04. Last exhibited and performed live in surround sound at Consortium gallery Amsterdam dec -jan 07-08. Requiem has received pick of the week in botht he Guardian and Independent listings and shown at several prestigious events. Currently in talks to perform the piece in Stockholm and Iceland.
Acousma – Andy Eccleston / Ron Wright
Second collaboration with Andy Eccleston. A quasi-paranormal av opera commissioned by Opera North. Acousma is a series of MRI scans with recordings of the voice of Opera North’s Vicki Sharpe being converged with pictograms of the scans to create sonograms.
Bad Luck – Lisa Watts / Alice Maud- Roxby
